How do I care for my Lifting the Dream Gear?
Lifting Gear requires a little bit of extra TLC (not the singing group) in order to preserve their life.
Neoprene knee sleeves typically have a shelf life of 6-12 months, depending on how often you use them and how well you take care of them. All of our sleeves come with a care instruction card in the package.

Nylon belts should last you for a while, but due to the nature of velcro, the shelf life of your belt depends on how well you take care of the velcro. The No-Slip-Grip buckle is meant to reduce some of the pressure on the velcro strap, but we realize that isn’t always the fastest way to get through your lifts, SO keeping your velcro happy will prolong the belts lifespan. Wrist wraps are durable and should outlast much of your lifting gear, however, just like the belts, velcro is used to keep the wraps in place. We highly recommend keeping the wraps closed when not in use and inside of your carrying bag we include with each order. This will keep the velcro away from the crumbs inside your gym bag… don’t worry, we all have them, ha!
Your polyester knee sleeves, knee wraps, and Oly straps, can all be cared for following these instructions here (coming soon!). Until we finish writing the article though, you may handwash them and hang dry if they start to stink!
How do I care for my Lifting the Dream Gear clothing?
Every piece of clothing we design is meant for both in and out of the gym. We highly recommend washing your items turning them inside out and using a delicate setting, or cold water with a low spin. Who even washes with super hot anymore right? But for real, hot water will possibly shrink or fade your garments. Items that have been worn (like in a work out or out to walk your dogs) and/or washed cannot be returned or exchanged.
What if it doesn’t fit, can I exchange for another size?
Yes! As long as it, being lifting gear or clothing or anything you purchase from us, is not worn we can accept an exchange. Please reach out to us within 5 days of receiving the item (per our tracked delivery). We get it, if you don’t check your mail often, or get it as a birthday present, we understand. We have a strict 14 day (from tracking date of delivery) to return the item to us to be eligible for an exchange.
But once an item has been worn (more than just tried on) or washed, we cannot take it to exchange. We have to say this, because it’s happened before but please do not return items for exchange that have odors, stains, tears and pet hair. If we’re out of your size, we will issue a store gift card (electronic) in the amount of the retail value of the item. Buyer is responsible for return shipping fees.
Before purchasing, please make careful consideration to the description to find out if your item is a Final Sale Item. Final Sale items are NOT available for exchanges, no exceptions.
You sent me the wrong size/wrong item, what’s up dude?
Mistakes happen of course, we are humans in this shop 🙂 But no worries, we will happily fix any error. Please contact us at email@example.com right away to let us know and we’ll take care of you.
Do you have a warranty on your products?
Yes! As warranty-y as you can get with Lifting Gear, we’re gonna try:
-Belts: Non-wearable parts are covered for up to 1 year. This includes the buckle, strap integrity (not velcro), and structure of the belt. Custom belts that have been embroidered on the strap, are not eligible for the strap warranty. Velcro is not included in this because it is a wearable piece that will eventually give way to wear and tear. We DO recommend cleaning out and taking care of the velcro, following our guidelines here.
-Neoprene Knee Sleeves: Up to 6 months. This includes loosened stitching along the borders that affects the functionality of the knee sleeve itself. This does not include rips in the fabric due to rope climbs, lunges, or other exercises that put undue force on the fabric.
-Polyester Knee Sleeves: Up to 1 year. This includes loosened stitching along the borders that affects the functionality of the knee sleeve itself. This does not include rips in the fabric due to rope climbs, lunges, or other exercises that put undue force on the fabric.
-Wrist Wraps: Up to 1 year. This includes loosened elastic inside of the wrist wrap that affects the integrity of the wrap. We’ll repair or replace any thumb-loops that become unusable during this time period. This does not include stitching coming loose around the border of the logo patch, fraying where velcro contacts the main fabric, fading in the design (due to washing), velcro damage, or any other expected wearable attribute.
-Lifting Straps: up to 1 year 1,000 lbs. Whichever comes soonest. We’ll refund you the full amount of your straps if they do not hold the weight up to 1,000 lbs during your lifting/strength session. And send you a cookie for attempting that weight, because you’re a badass.
Our Guarantee: If your item is approved for a warranty replacement, we will replace your item with the same product and size. If we are out of the size or print, we will issue a gift card for the price of the item (less what was paid for shipping, because shipping companies don’t do refunds).
We personally inspect every single item before it gets packed up. Seriously, like inspector gadget status, but if for some reason something slips through that arrives to you defective (holes, big tears, huge stains) please contact us right away and we will make it right.
Do you offer refunds?
No, but we do offer exchanges or store credit for any items we’re sold out of upon exchange.

What if my package is returned to Lifting the Dream?
We are not responsible for any items that are returned to us because of an undeliverable address or failure to pay customs fees.
Please review your order and ensure that your address is correct and on file with USPS. If an item is returned to us, the buyer is responsible for all return shipping fees. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org right away if you suspect an incorrect address.
