How to Create Your Own Personalized Gym Gear

We’re SO incredibly excited to be able to offer custom gym gear.

By now you probably know, Lifting the Dream was first started with customization a cute gym tanks. Mermaids Don’t Skip Leg Day? Yea, that was us.

Sitting at a table 5 years ago at that community sale event inside that small church in Olivehurst, CA, I was slingin’ gym shirts and thinking I would be lucky if I sold one. Just one. I could never have dreamed I would be where I’m at now: creating custom gym gear.

We literally have hundreds, and I mean hundreds, of options available for customization. I know it can be overwhelming, soooo let’s get down to the basics.

Wrist Wraps

If you want to customize some wrist wraps, this is where you want to be. Our customization options are available for the solid color options only, which as of this post date are available in solid black, solid green, and solid hot pink (more colors coming soon!).

We can customize any of these wraps with a name or logo in the blank black patch space shown above.

On our website, simply go to the product page of the color wrist wrap that you want (see our Solids Collection) and click the “Personalize It” button and then follow the guides on how to customize your product. Check out our video here:

The sizes we carry in the customizable wraps are 12 inch and 18 inch. To find out more about what size is right for you, please check out our wrist wrap post here. As you can see, your color options to add onto the wrist wraps is limitless.

Plus, if you know there is something you want, but don’t quite see it, let us know! The possibilities for printed vinyl is endless, so we can probably find it if you’re looking for it. Just ask us! When customizing the wrist wraps, they are laid out how we take the photograph but they appear to be backwards when you fill out the customization form. When we label it “Left” it truly is the one that will be on your left hand (according to the placement of the thumb loops) so if you have a design that needs to be different from left to right, then please be sure to fill out the correct side čÖé On Etsy, our process is a little different.

Etsy is a marketplace that allows for custom items, but it does not have a lot of capabilities that our website does in that we can’t show you live what it will look like, but I can send you a proof if you would like. One final, final note: Wrist Wraps, or any other item, that has been customized (altered from its original state to fit the wants of the buyer) is non-exchangeable, so please double (triple) check the grammar, spacing, all of it. I do try and follow up with customers if I see something might be fixed, but its not feasible for me to check every single order when some are nicknames and purposely placed/spelled certain ways, so I usually will leave it alone.

Customizing your guys’ lifting belts, has to be one of my favorites to do. There is more space for creativity! The customization process on our belts is a little bit easier than the wrist wraps because there is only one piece rather than two.

Something a little different from the wrist wraps too – we can embroider the strap on these! The strap is a great place to have your name or logo embroidered and we have over a hundred different colors of thread to match your desired look. For the backside, you can choose any of our amazing color options or printed pattern vinyl.

We have 5 different solid colors to choose from including: Black, Sapphire Blue, Endor Green, Marooned Maroon, and Pink Panther.

Check out our video below on how to customize one of our LTD belts:

What else can we customize?

We can metal stamp names into our super awesome Barbell Keychains, embroider a name on a pair of lifting straps (coming soon), and we do custom colors and logos in bulk for gyms; fill out our wholesale application if you’re interested in this option.

Honestly, customizing your LTD gear is my FAVORITE thing to do. Do you have a custom LTD piece? If so, let us know!
